Transport: Tipping Point is a complex stage project with a current and urgent environmental message that takes the audience into the world of global transportation and oil extraction. At the heart of the program is a theatrical performance that transports viewers onto an oil rig – a place where greed, negligence, and irresponsible behavior trigger an environmental disaster of unimaginable scale.

The production is inspired by one of the greatest environmental tragedies in history: the Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster, which claimed eleven lives on April 20, 2010, in the Gulf of Mexico. The performance uncovers the devastating consequences of the largest oil spill in U.S. history. Approximately 780 million liters of leaked oil devastated coastlines, destroyed ecosystems, caused the deaths of thousands of marine animals, and left a long-term impact on the marine environment.

Transport: Tipping Point is not just the story of one catastrophe. It reflects the state of the modern world and serves as a warning against the limitless exploitation of natural resources, environmental indifference, and the threats our planet faces. Therefore, the focus is not solely on the specific accident. The performance is followed by an educational stage seminar that explores the broader context of oil extraction, transportation, and processing.

Using audiovisual materials, the workshop continues the story of Deepwater Horizon and its environmental consequences. It opens a discussion on global transportation, human needs, trade, fossil fuels, corporate interests, and the environment. It encourages the audience to recognize their own responsibility and take action toward a more sustainable lifestyle and greater environmental awareness.
The program begins with an immersive introduction using historical media footage. This is followed by the theatrical performance and then a themed seminar. All parts are presented in Czech.
Transport is an international co-production project directed by Slovenian author Tin Grabnar. It connects six key themes of global transportation with six theatres from different countries. Through six intimate productions, the project explores transport as a critical pillar of globalization and highlights both its benefits and its downsides – from environmental impacts to social inequalities and ethical dilemmas. Using hyperrealistic visual and sound design, it reveals how deeply these issues are interconnected in today's society and provokes reflection on our own influence on the world.

Transport is not just a theatrical experience – it is a call for change. It challenges established patterns of consumerism and promotes the adoption of a sustainable way of life. The project stands out for its holistic approach to sustainability, reaching beyond the realm of art to become a significant player in the broader social context.
